Forgetting the Lord leads to sin.

The new generation forgot God’s love and faithfulness. There came the next generation who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel. One of the greatest problems in our society today is that there is a gap between the new generation and the old generation. The new generation has no sense of history. For example, the average European teenager is not knowledgeable about the history of the Second World War and the events that took place in this dark period which caused the deaths of millions of people.

They are not interested and do not even want to hear about the cold winters during the war and the tragedies of the people around the world. When a society forgets His roots, it is heading towards destruction and chaos. When the youth loses their visions everyone will perish. I believe it is the responsibility of the parents to pass on what they have seen to their children.

The same thing is happening in our Christian families today;  children are not on fire for the Lord Jesus as their parents once were. The anoint- ing does not flow to their children. I believe it is not only the fault of the children, it is also the fault of the parents. Some parents are so busy with their own things and are so engaged in church ministry that they do not give proper attention to their children.

So after awhile the children will no longer be interested in Christianity and they go out to enjoy the pleasures of the world. The parents must talk to their kids and pass on to them God’s grace, mercy, and the miracles they received in their lives. Our faith is a three-generation faith. Our God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. My future children should do the same things we are doing in the Lord and continue to do so when we die.

Remember that the Israelites forgot God. Therefore, their society headed for chaos and God’s anger. They began to sin and worship the Baals and other gods. This happened for twelve generations.

If you are a Youth and reading this I want to encourage you, get back to your first love!

In Jesus there is love.. believe me when you find your identity in Christ Jesus. You become unstoppable!
